Hello, my name is Chris Nordstrom. I received my undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts-Social Work from the University of Montana Missoula in 1993. I received my graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from Walla Walla University in 1998.
I was licensed by the State of Montana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2005. I have extensive experience working with the general mental health population; children/adolescents/adults. I also have 30 years of experience working with criminally convicted adult/juvenile, men/women.
I have a vast working knowledge of the criminal justice system as well a firm understanding of the utilization of the latest evidence-based assessment and treatment protocols for both the criminal justice population and the general mental health population.
I am 1 of only 2 licensed clinical professionals in the state fully trained in ICPM-MT, ICPM-SO, SOTIPS, and ODARA.
I have held positions as the Clinical Director of the Mental Health Department in Barrow Alaska; Clinical Therapist Supervisor for the Montana Department of Corrections at Montana State Men’s Prison in Deer Lodge; as well as Private Practice Mental Health Clinician in Butte, Missoula and most recently Helena.
